Shell Point Remembers... Phyllis Ann Holaday

Born in Chicago, Ms. Holaday was a resident of Shell Point for the past eleven years. She had earlier lived in Senatobia, Mississippi and Miami, Florida. She devoted her life to her artwork and poetry. Overcoming cerebral palsy, she graced her friends and family with her indomitable humor, generosity and unconditional love. Ms. Holaday is survived by sisters Susan Schumacher of Washington, DC, Linda Shaikh of Calgary, Canada and brothers Thomas Holaday of Altadena, California and Dr. Duncan Holaday of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, Valerie Karasz, Dr. Sarah Hall, Farrah Shaikh, Janet Shaikh, Rio Holaday, nephew Andrew Karasz and her extended family, Dr. Chin Woon Ping, Mazhar Shaikh, August Schumacher, Dr. Christopher Hall and Julie Shown Karasz. A memorial Service will be conducted at a future date. Arrangements by Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Phyllis Ann Holaday to the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, 2050 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel Island, Florida, 33957. |
