Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) A. Knopp, retired missionary to Colombia, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2005, at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  She would have been 87 years old at the end of December.  Mrs. Knopp served as a missionary with The Christian and Missionary Alliance beginning in 1945 for over 25 years (her husband John passed away from typhoid fever in their first term).  She also served as secretary to the Latin America regional director ( Rev. David Volstad) at C&MA headquarters in New York City until 1989, and then as Church Relations assistant at Rockland County campus and unofficial "grandmother" to many at Nyack College until her move to Chapel Pointe last year.

Her funeral was December 19 at Nyack College.  Rev. David Volstad, associate pastor at Allegheny Center C&MA Church, represented International Ministries at the funeral.
