Dear Shell Point resident,

Once again we are pleased to offer you an opportunity for life long learning in your own community, as well as field trips to places of educational significance in the communities that surround Shell Point. Classes are offered throughout our community, including in Kings Crown and the Arbor. All are welcome at any class.

As always, many of our presentations are provided by our own accomplished residents and staff. We are grateful they volunteer to share their talents in our Academy.

We continue to require registration only for those classes which charge a fee or limit class size. When you see this registration icon please use the Registration Form at the back of this brochure. Return the completed Registration Form to either Service Desk beginning Friday, August 15, 2008. Your resident account will be charged the fees listed for classes you register for, and you will receive a confirmation form for those classes via Shell Point mail. If you need to cancel a class you registered for, call 454-2290 at least 24 hours prior to the class. If your spot is filled from a waitlist, your account will be credited.

Please note the Academy calendar is included for your convenience. In addition we urge you to read the Weekly Reminder and watch SPTV to confirm the classes you plan to attend as many factors may necessitate a change of day, time or place.

Evaluation Forms will be available at the end of each class. Please take an Evaluation Form home with you to fill out at your leisure. It is pre-printed with my return address so simply fold it and return it to me via Shell Point mail. Your evaluation forms are helpful to the class presenters and to me, as I plan future classes. In addition, please contact me with any ideas for future classes.
