Welcome to your new community!

Your Resort Services staff looks forward to providing the activities, programs, and events that will give you as many opportunities as you could want for participation and for volunteer service.

The way we will inform you of these opportunities is through our communication pieces: the calendar in the monthly Courier newsletter, our Weekly Reminder, and on Shell Point TV (SPTV-Channel 11). (All changes appear immediately on SPTV.)

On the Courier calendar page and in the Weekly Reminder you will find that each monthly program and event is printed in bold. All other listings represent on-going activities that are led by our resident volunteers with support from Resort Services staff.   You will receive further information on theatre, concerts, and the Academy.

In addition, we have many volunteer service groups to provide pleasurable activity and appreciated services. The Shell Point Gift Shop, the Shell Point Library, UPS and the Shell Point Computer Labs are staffed entirely by resident volunteers.  Resident volunteers provide all volunteer services for Hope Hospice at Shell Point on the fourth floor of The Pavilion Annex.  The Pavilion Auxiliary (over 200 resident volunteers) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents and patients in our skilled nursing facility.

Programs, events, and on-going activities take place on both campuses, the Island and the Woodlands.  Transportation is provided inter-campus, around the Island, for shopping, and for all Shell Point trips.

We seek input from residents for our events, programs, and activities through resident representatives on our Advisory Boards and through resident surveys.

The entire Resort Services staff looks forward to welcoming you into your new community.
