Shopping Bus Guidelines
Preparation
- For reservations, please call either service desk at least 24 hours in advance:
- Island: 454-2282
- Woodlands/Eagles Preserve: 454-2054
- Place your shopping cart at the designated court pick-up location (not in your apartment) so that when you return, you can easily unload.
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call either service desk to cancel.
- FOR YOUR SAFETY: We strongly discourage venturing across busy streets and unsafe parking lots. Please plan to be picked-up at the same location where you were dropped off.
- If you need an electric cart for shopping, we recommend you make prior ar-rangements with store personnel. There is no guarantee one will be available.
Shopping:
- Please ask the clerk to use double paper bags for your groceries. Wal-Mart and K-Mart are the exceptions. When shopping at Wal-Mart or K-Mart, we suggest you bring your own sturdy bags to replace the plastic bags provided by the stores.
- Have the clerk write your apartment number on the bags in black marker.
- Request that the bagger keep your bags light enough to carry.
- Push your cart towards the bus for loading and let the driver place your bags on the bus.
