DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day\, Shell Point hosts Be the Flame\, a moving program presented in partnership with The Common Ground Collective. This event honors the six million Jewish lives lost and highlights the importance of remembrance\, unity\, and compassion. The program features distinguished speakers\, including Dr. Robert Hilliard\, a 100-year-old WWII hero who helped save thousands of Holocaust survivors; Holocaust survivor and author Peter Semenhaur\, who fled Nazi Germany as a child; and acclaimed journalist Mike Hirsh\, who reported from WWII front lines. Additional presentations include reflections from activist Sunny Lubner\, a healing prayer by Cantor Barry Butenski\, music by Diane and Chuck Coffman\, and readings by members of The Common Ground Collective.
