The Resident Programming team is committed to providing residents with integrated programs and resources that continue to promote a culture of wellness, enhance residents’ daily lifestyle and offer support for personal growth, healthy living and a positive life experience.
The Resort Programming team provides oversight to more than 100 resident-led activity groups, club and volunteer opportunities. They organize and plan monthly special events, entertainment, dances and programs. This team also schedules off-campus trips to local restaurants, theaters and special events in the surrounding Southwest Florida area and beyond.

Resident volunteers play a vital role at Shell Point and there are many opportunities for service and ministry. Volunteering begins with a call, email or visit to the volunteer coordinator, who can share in-depth information about all volunteer opportunities and will make every effort to match the volunteer with a position that fills a specific need at Shell Point and provides a sense of satisfaction to the resident volunteer.
Each season, which runs November through April, the Resident Programming team presents a Fine and Performing Arts Series. The Performing Arts and Southwest Florida Symphony series offer high-caliber performances at The Village Church on The Island as well as smaller, more intimate Concert and Conversations concerts in the Grand Cypress Room at The Woodlands. Also included, as part of the Fine Arts series, are resident shows and sales.
The Academy of Lifelong Learning and Wellness programs are under the management of Jonathan High at (239) 454-2254. This award-winning, continuing education program known as The Academy provides a wide breadth of engaging classes for the mind, body and spirit. The Academy manager schedules three semesters of course offerings during the year: Spring (January through March), Summer (May through July), and Fall (September through November).

There are four fabulous locations to choose from and approximately 20 extremely talented professional service providers offering hair, nail, massage, skin & body treatments. Seagrape Salon & Spa at The Club and the Island Salon & Spa on the Island offer our full array of services with advanced skin care offered at Seagrape Spa. The Arbor and Waterside Salons offer hair and nail care services in a more intimate setting.
